Sammie Paul, Board Co-Chair
Sammie Paul is the Executive Director of FoodRecovery.org, a leading nonprofit dedicated to recovering surplus food and redistributing it to communities in need.
With a background in public health, Sammie joined the organization in 2016 as a volunteer and has since taken on a variety of roles, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of the nonprofit's operations.
Under Sammie's leadership, FoodRecovery.org underwent a significant rebrand and scaled its operations to recover over 1.5 million pounds of food each week. Sammie is passionate about building innovative partnerships and systems that combat food waste and food insecurity, making a meaningful impact on both local and national levels. Since 2025, Sammie has served the new National Food Recovery Association (NFRA) as co-chair of the board, facilitating more partnerships and collaboration in the space.
