Jennifer England, Board Co-Chair

As a founding executive at 412 Food Rescue, Jennifer England helped design and scale one of the largest volunteer-powered and technology-driven food rescue operations in the United States. She co-created the Food Rescue Hero platform, the first technology built for last-mile surplus food logistics, and led its expansion across North America. This work has helped redirect tens of millions of pounds of food from landfills to the people who need it most.

Today, Jen serves as the Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the National Food Recovery Association, where she brings together organizations, innovators, and change makers to transform how surplus food is managed across the country. Her work spans operations, technology, and policy, with a consistent focus on building systems that are scalable and create measurable impact.

Jen also serves as the co-chair of the Pennsylvania Food Policy Council Edible Food Waste Working group, and as a Board member of the ME Action.

Previous experience includes founding Pink Coat Communications, a media consultancy working with advocacy groups, unions, and nonprofits helping them tell their stories to the media on a local and national stage. Jen has also advanced justice and community well-being through board service with several outstanding organizations, including the League of Young Voters, Best Buddies Foundation, Grow Pittsburgh, New Leaders Council, Pittsburgh Food Policy Council,  and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. She also co-founded the project On the Spot to supply feminine hygiene products for girls in local schools who struggle to meet this need.
