Dana Siles, Board Secretary

Dana Siles is a professional photographer with over three decades of experience whose journey into food recovery began when she recognized the unmet need within the events industry. In 2014, while serving as Community Service Chair for the National Association of Catering & Events, she co-founded Feeding Our Neighbors to educate peers on the laws and benefits of donating surplus food. Realizing that transportation was one of the biggest barriers, Dana joined Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC) in 2017 to strengthen food donation programs in New England. She helped expand the Massachusetts branch, launched the Rhode Island branch, and served as Director of Partnerships and Government Relations.

Dana remains active in the nonprofit space, volunteering with the Rhode Island Food Policy Council, the Rhode Island Food Strategy, and other impactful organizations. As a co-founding Board Member of the National Food Recovery Association, she supports solutions that recover and redistribute edible surplus food.

Whether behind the camera or working to advance food recovery efforts, Dana’s goal is to learn from others, grow together, and bring out the best in one another.
