Alyson Schill, Board Member
Alyson Schill brings deep expertise in zero waste systems and works to advance initiatives that prevent surplus food loss and strengthen food recovery. She continues to play a key role in shaping and advocating for government policies and programs that support food recovery and prevention efforts. With a background in volunteer management, gleaning, sustainable event production, environmental service-learning leadership in educational institutions, and restaurant management, Alyson combines experiences from across the food chain to create meaningful and comprehensive waste reduction programs.
Alyson is the CEO of the food donation app, Careit, which uses technology to connect surplus food from businesses directly to local nonprofits while providing donation tracking tools for nonprofits, municipalities, and corporations to meet state mandates and corporate social responsibility goals. She is passionate about reconnecting communities and strengthening them through food.
